(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA When you are single, it seems like everyone else in the world is married, but there is hope. CBS 3’s Natasha Brown talks to an author who guarantees her advice will lead to happily ever after. The single's scene; dim lights, nights at the bar, and the hovering hope that Mr. Right will be found.

“You have to go through like 200 men to find someone who might have maybe the right qualities to date,” described one single.

But one author says some women are going about it all wrong.

“The best time to meet a man is at breakfast,” said Margaret Kent.

Kent says the key to meeting men is placing yourself in places where conversation is possible.

“It's not working if you go to a bar where the men are just too drunk,” she said.

Instead, go for grocery stores or coffee shops. Kent is the author of "How to Marry the Man of Your Choice."

Kent described her title saying, “Man of your choice means, number one, that he's not the man of your dreams, in other words he exists.”

Her next tip is to act like a tourist.

“Women can't say hello to men at home, but they can be a tourist somewhere and talk to anybody, meet anybody,” stated Kent.

She adds to take off your jewelry. “They think hey there's someone else in her life that's buying her this.”

When it comes to bringing up marriage, Margaret says let others do the work for you.

“Go buy a big ticket item, where the salesman will say, ‘You and your wife will just love watching this television set,’ described Kent.

So what do Philly singles have to say about Margaret's advice?

“I think everybody is different and I think what works for everybody is different,” said one single.

And sometimes what works, has a lot to do with fate.
